Highways – TRO 24/114 & TRO 24/113 – Closure of Footpaths. All legal procedures have been attended to, Emergency Services have been copied in. Orders have been approved and will come into force on the13th January 2024.
East Cambs – Road Safety Volunteer Scheme Update (Sally Bonnett) The role of Volunteers would be to deal with speeding, and parking enforcement. Volunteers will have powers to enforce parking infringements, speeding enforcement. The level of vetting necessary has slowed up the launch of the project. It has now been agreed that Special Constables will launch the scheme.
Proposals for the introduction of the Volunteer role will go to the Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s November Change Board, a further update will be provided following the meeting.
